Loretta is a paediatric oncologist in Sydney Children’s Hospital, precision medicine specialist in the ZERO Childhood Cancer Program and Conjoint Senior Lecturer in School of Clinical Medicine, UNSW Medicine.
She joined ZERO in 2015 and provides precision medicine expertise with a translational focus. She leads a team of clinician-scientists in ZERO and is instrumental in the conduct of the National Molecular Tumour Board which provides treatment recommendations for children enrolled in ZERO personalised medicine trials. She is passionate about educating the national clinical workforce in molecular oncology and precision medicine.
She received her paediatric oncology training in Australia and completed a clinical and research fellowship at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Canada. She obtained her PhD and Master of Medicine (Clinical Epidemiology) from the University of Sydney.
