Dr Mark Pinese is a Team Leader in Personalised Medicine, working on childhood cancer risk. Mark's background spans cancer, clinical, and population genomics. He was a member of the world's largest sequencing effort in pancreatic cancer, helped to develop Australia's first clinically-accredited whole genome sequencing test, and led the analysis of Australia's largest genome sequencing study, the Medical Genome Reference Bank.

Mark's research aims to make an impact on health through a better understanding of cancer risk, and has been recognised by awards from professional societies and funding bodies as well as an NHMRC Emerging Leadership Fellowship.
