Dr Noemi Fuentes-Bolanos is a Paediatric Cancer Genetics Research Fellow and Conjoint Lecturer at UNSW. Noemi holds a cross-disciplinary position at Kids Cancer Centre at Sydney Children's Hospital, Randwick, the Hereditary Cancer Clinic at Prince of Wales Hospital and partners within the Zero Childhood Cancer Program, from 2019.
Noemi’s primary research interest is in cancer predisposition syndromes in children, adolescent and young adult (AYA) patients. Most recently, Noemi has played a key role in developing the PREDICT Study, a NSW-wide cancer predisposition pilot study. A collaboration with the Zero Childhood Cancer Program, the study analyses family-based whole genome sequencing in every newly diagnosed child and young adults with cancer.
